Preliminaries & Semi-Finals
Candidates performing Female Syllabus:
Classical leotard in one block colour only (no patterns/multiple colours). No school leotards, halter necks, cap sleeves, jazz styles.
• Leotard must be suitable to affix candidate number to front and back.
• Candidates may choose ballet tights that match their skin tone.
Soft ballet shoes in satin, canvas or leather with matching elastic or ribbons. Split sole shoes are permitted. Candidates may choose shoes that match their skin tone. Intermediate, Advanced Foundation and Advanced 1 candidates require flats and pointe shoes for their semi-finals classes. Light make-up may be worn.
Finals
Appropriate hair ribbon or decoration is also permitted. Finals
Candidates performing Female Syllabus:
• As per Preliminary & Semi-Final Classes (above).
*Half tutu or chiffon skirt may be worn for the syllabus classical variation.
• Performance make-up and appropriate hair decoration to be worn.
For the Commissioned Choreography piece only, candidates may wear bare feet, foot thongs
or canvas ballet shoes. It is recommended they wear convertible ballet tights. Wearing socks
alone is not permitted due to safety reasons.
· Candidates are required to wear shoes and appropriate clothing when not in class and when arriving and departing from the venue. All candidates should arrive for all classes and
performances dressed and ready to dance (warm-ups over dancewear), with makeup and hair done. All candidates should bring their own water bottles, snacks, and towels; as well as
individual props (if required for their dance). Due to allergies, we request that snacks with nuts are not brought to the venues.
Please ensure candidates arrive no earlier than 1 hour prior to their class time for preliminary and semi-finals rounds.

Candidates receive an event t-shirt as part of their entry.
Due to product lead times, no changes can be made to t-shirt size after an entry has been submitted; exchanges for a different size will not be available; and late entries will not receive a t-shirt.

The aim of the Isobel Anderson Awards is to enable candidates to build confidence in performance situations and provide additional performance opportunities; to establish a pathway to prepare candidates for international competitions; and to honour the contribution of RAD Member Isobel Anderson. Participation of students from all levels is encouraged; as
students gain experience and confidence from working with their peers and guest teachers.
Students must have completed an eligible exam in 2024, to enter the Awards in 2025.

As a young Classical student, I was fortunate enough to have Miss Anderson as a semi
regular guest teacher throughout my training and I have found memories of her. She was a
kind, gentle, lovely old lady with an inspiring knowledge of classical Ballet . I count myself
very fortunate to have been one of her students.
